The only main issue was that Mario Kart 7 was NOT preinstalled, even though there was a sticker on the back of the 2DS that said "MK7 [Mario Kart 7] Pre-Installed".This was sent and recieved in a timely manner, and the DS works perfectly It was as advertised and I am quite satisfied with my perchase.I was on the fence about whether or not to purchase a 3DS or a 2DS, but because of the value, I went with this one. I am definitely not disappointed! For about half the cost, you get the exact same system with the same capabilities, minus the 3D. To me, the 3D is a nice little bonus, but if you get motion sickness or dizzy from playing, you wouldn't use the 3D often anyway. I've spoken with many friends who use the 3DS and all of whom never actually turn on the 3D. I also wanted to mention the one downside is the size; it isn't exactly pocket-size for on the go. This, to me, is a pro and a con. While you can't just put it in your pocket and go, it does feel very comfortable to use. Also, there is a level of durability because there are no hinges.All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase. For the first time in a long time, I have an affordable handheld gaming device that I actually enjoy. The major draw of this system was that it came with Mario Kart 7 and was same day shipping. The item came exactly as described in box and had all the manuals and extras I expected. One thing to note, I haven't yet attempted to download/install Mario Kart but I will update with any issues.I bought this for my son's 8th Birthday and he absolutely loves his game. He can sit for hours during long trips or when I am up and about shopping. My son's attention span is a little short, so this keeps him pretty occupied. He loves Mario Kart 7 and racing with the other characters. This game is pretty light weight and the Blue color is pretty nice. I like the pen that comes with it because it makes him feel like he has a fancy device like the grown ups. The volume is great and the sound effects are very clear. I can hear the whistles and the music pretty clear also. I love all of the special effects within the game and the colors are. My son loves the camera and will sneak up on you to take funny photos of us and laugh hysterically to himself. We have to watch out for him now. I am so glad I decided to purchase this game for him because he loves it. I would recommend this game to boys or girls because it is so much fun. The shipping was pretty quick and I had no issues.Fun fact. Each 2DS seemingly is remembered by Nintendo, so that logging in even if you log into a new account it may still remember it's last owners games and give you access to them. Which happened to me. This might not be a unuversalexoeruence with every 2DS but it's a distinct possibility.My daughter had been bugging us for a 3DS but we found out the she could play the 3DS games on the 2DS and the price was half that of the 3DS. She has been happily playing with this game system for the last couple of days and I think we picked the right system for her. The only con is that it is larger than the 3DS because you can't fold it in half. But, I couldn't see spending twice the amount of money for a different system that would play the same games. Obviously it's not 3 dimensional, but she didn't really care about that feature. There may be other features that are different that I'm not aware of, but if you're just getting it to play games, I'm not sure that the added cost for the 3D experience is worth it.Bought this as a diversion tool for my 5 year-old for our cross-country flight to Seattle. The 2DS was the choice over the 3 because I did not feel the need for 3d for my little one, and really didn't like the folding design of the 3ds.This thing is AWESOME. And when I say awesome, I actually mean for the entire family. Mario Kart 7 (included) is addictive and brings me back to my days of playing N64. The device is a little over the head of my 5 year old, but I added the parental controls and they produced a much more navigable desktop for the device.This is a great game system. It's very easy to limit his time to using it by taking it and playing it myself :-)My 8yr old son saved his one dollar a day allowance he gets for doing his chores. He absolutely loves his 2DS and months later he still loves it. I was on the fence about getting this for my 8yr old. My almost 12 yr old daughter received one for Christmas and he really wanted one as well. I told him it would take three months of saving his allowance to get one and he did it faster by doing extra jobs for anyone he could. He got in a month and a half. I am still careful about the games he gets and I am using the parental controls so I am not worried about him talking to the wrong sort of people. This was a truly great buy!!!!I really love playing games on this device ! it's been 2 years and it still works well. The only issue I feel is that it can't fold and fit in my pocket. It has a good build and feels nice to hold. It only lags a little sometimes when in Pokemon ORAS something graphically intense happens.The mario kart 7 pre-installed was an added bonus for this package. Really love itReally recommend this for people like me who only buy Nintendo for Pokemon or Mario gamesThe Nintendo 2DS is fantastic and beat my expectations. If you are looking for a casual handheld gaming experience then this is something to really consider. The way the system feels amazing in your hands, very natural. Mario Kart 7 came in the bundle and it's a ton of fun. I have spent hours playing it already. Other than that it was what you expect. The console works, can connect to wifi, claims 4 hours of battery life on full charge but mine seems to be going closer to 4 and half hours, came with the power adapter and there seems to be a ton of great Nintendo games out there you can purchase.The only negative thing I can think of is it doesn't fold like the 3DS so if you plan to carry it around places it might not be the best fit in your pockets but you can place it in your bag or purse. However, all I got it for was to do some casual light gaming before bedtime so this is not an issue for me as I don't bring it out of the house.In conclusion, it's a great system at an even greater price. The Mario Kart 7 game that comes with it just sweetens that deal. It is exactly what I wanted and even though it arrived on a very cold day, it was packaged well and in good shape. I am very happy with this item that I bought as a gift for Christmas.
